SAKKAL - CUVISM - FINE ART

Who Am I, Where Am I Going? 2013

Description

The visual intricacy and the multipart detail evidenced by this composition was attained – refined by a persistent, prodigious methodology employed for decades; a process involving the practice of repetition – a course of action involving the complex information processing capacity of the unconscious mind.

Unlike the limits of a conscious mind which Postmodernism relies upon to create its art, the unconscious offers an artist near limitless, diverse information for the processing and managing of enormous quantities of information automatically to use for creative decision making. As with What If? and again, here, with Who Am I?, these compositions provide visual evidence of the extent to which the complexity of any image reflects the inherent, latent unconscious mind at work, the CUVISM characteristic possessed by every developing artist, including those atrophied – damaged by years of practice using the limited conscious mind and the conceptualizing of art in a postmodern era of chaos.
