SAKKAL - CUVISM - FINE ART

The Sword and the Sepulcher, 2004

Description

In early 2003, the artist decided he would create a composition that, in some way, could capture his years of experience living in the Middle East and intertwine it with George Bush and Dick Cheney’s Iraqi debacle. First, their mistake to invade to capture weapons of mass destruction, that did not exist, and then their subsequent despicable mismanagement of the war. Whatever the composition would be was already stored as memory in the artist’s unconscious mind and was simply waiting for release in visual expression. As is the case with all his previous work, the search for truth would evolve methodologically.
